In his opening speech, President LU extended his congratulations to the seminar and pointed out that MUN, which is different from a English speech or a debate contest, requires the abilities of documents drafting, negotiating and communicating, academic knowledge, state positions and diplomatic etiquette as well as good linguistic skills. In this regard, the MUN Society needs particular assistance from faculty advisors. Teachers are constructors of the society, leaders of academic training, and on-spot instructors. He believed that the seminar would yield great results with joint efforts from all parties and lead the MUN activities to a brighter future.
