Students from Macao Visited the UNA-China

On March 31, winners of the Sixth Macao Youth Diplomatic Knowledge Competition visited the UNA-China. They presented flowers to the statue of Premier ZHOU Enlai, founder of Chinese People¡¯s Institute of Foreign Affairs?(CPIFA) and the first Honorary President before they met Mr. LU Shumin, Executive Vice-President of the CPIFA and President of the UNA-China. Mr. LU introduced the history, work and achievements of the CPIFA and encouraged the students to work hard and make more contribution to the prosperity and stability of Macao. Mr. TU Wentao, Director of Research Department of the CPIFA , and Mr. YAN Liang, Director of the UNA-China, made introduction of their work and answered the students' questions on current international situations, regional issues, China¡¯s diplomacy and the role of the CPIFA.

The delegation, consisting of over 50 teachers and students from eight high schools in Macao, was led by Director of Macao SAR DSEJ YUAN Kaiqing and Mr. LI Nan, Director of Public Diplomacy and News Department of the Commissioner¡¯s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao.

Macao Youth Diplomatic Knowledge Competition is organized by the Commissioner¡¯s Office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Macao SAR government, which is a brand activity of public diplomacy in Macao. It has been held six times successfully since 2010, raising the awareness of Chinese diplomacy and patriotism among the youth of Macao.
