From August 25 to 26, the 2019 Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-Japan, UNA-China and UNA-ROK was held in Tokyo, Japan with the theme of “Changing Roles and Structures of United Nations System: Past, Present and Future”. Ms. Wang Ying, Deputy Director-General of UNA-China, Dr. Sen Genshitsu, President of UNA-Japan, Amb. Akashi Yasushi, Vice-President of UNA-Japan, Amb. Lee Ho-Jin, Acting President of UNA-ROK, and Amb. Choi Jong-moo, Vice-President of UNA-ROK attended the meeting and exchanged in-depth views on multilateralism and global governance, the Security Council reform, the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and China-US trade etc.

 

From August 26 to 29, 80 university students from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea attended the 10th JCK Youth Forum. The Youth Forum is composed of Model UN, Symposium and Cultural Events. Students from the three countries discussed issues on older persons, persons with disability, women empowerment, marine plastic pollution and fake news etc.
