On April 7, Amb. LU Shumin, President of the UNA-China, attended the inaugural ceremony of Guizhou University Model UN Society and gave a lecture on the current international situation and the One Belt One Road Initiative. Mr. YANG Wei, Deputy Party Secretary of Guizhou university, and nearly 300 teachers and students attended the lecture.

President LU congratulated Guizhou University on the establishment of the Model UN Society, and talked about the significance of the Model UN activities and work of the UNA-China. By sharing his career experience, Mr. LU introduced the current international situations and China’s One Belt One Road Initiative and pointed out that with the current international system and order, which are under on-going adjustment and improvement and with the ever closing linkage between China’s economic development and the world, we should pursue a diplomacy of mutual development and common prosperity. Mr. LU emphasized that One Belt One Road Initiative is of great significance in expanding the width and breadth of opening policy, extending cooperative fields in the new era, and will play a positive role in promoting economic development of both China and the world. He also answered questions from the students.
