On June 27th 2015, a seminar on The Seventy Years of UN: Role and Future, co-hosted by the United Nations Association of China (UNA-China) and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), was held in Beijing. Nearly 70 experts and scholars participated in the seminar. Mr. LIU Zhixian, Vice-President and Director-General of the UNA-China and Mr. LI Yuming, Secretary of the Party committee of BLCU addressed the opening ceremony. Amb. ZHANG Xiaokang, Senior Official of Asia- Europe Meeting and Professor LI Tiecheng, former Director of the UN Research Center of BLCU delivered keynote speeches about China’s UN diplomacy and the development and main achievements of the UN Research Center of BLCU respectively.

In the Seminar, participants discussed topics such as peace and security, development, human rights, construction of world order and UN reform and other topics.
