2012 Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-ROK and UNA-Japan was held on 19 September in Seoul. Amb. Chen Jian, President of UNA-China, Amb. Sun Joun-yung, Vice-President & CEO of UNA-ROK and Mr. Sen Genshitsu, President of UNA-Japan attended the meeting as heads of delegations. Amb. Park Soo-gil, President of WFUNA and Mr. Bonian Golmohammadi, Secretary-General of WFUNA attended the meeting at invitation. The theme of the meeting is “International Peace and the Role of the United Nations: Possible Influence of the Common Culture and Tradition on the Activities of the Three Countries at the UN”. A Joint Statement was adopted at the end of the meeting. The Presidents of the three UNAs also attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Third Trilateral Youth Forum. Amb. Chen Jian made a keynote speech under the topic “Conflict Prevention in East Asia” at the forum. Ms. Zhang Xiaoan, Vice-President & Director-General of UNA-China also attended the meeting.?
