The Seminar on the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development was held by UNA-China on 1 March, 2012. Amb. Chen Jian, President of UNA-China chaired the opening ceremony. Mr. La Yifan, Deputy Director of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Over 50 representatives from government agencies, academic circle and NGOs attended the seminar.
Participants had deep and comprehensive discussions on the topics of Achievements in Global Sustainable Development, Rigorous Challenges Facing the Main Developed Countries, International Organizations and Developing Countries and their stands and the Institutional Framework of International Sustainable Development.
