Zhang Xiaoan Met with the Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland

Ms. Zhang Xiaoan, Vice-President & Director-General of UNA-China met with Mr. Jürg Lauber, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland on July 13. The two sides briefed each other about the main work since last meeting in 2011 and exchanged personal views on UN reform, follow-up of Rio+20, the Syrian Issue and the problems in the practice of the responsibility to Protect. Mr. Lauber spoke highly of the International Civil Servants Capacity Building Training Program of UNA-China and expressed that he would be very happy to give a lecture to the trainees of the future classes if possible and would also be glad to introduce his colleagues from the Embassy or Consulate of Switzerland in China to give lectures to future trainees. Ms. Zhang conveyed thanks for Lauber and expressed UNA-China would invite him or his colleagues as lectures of the program when convenient.
