Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-Japan and UNA-ROK
The Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-Japan and UNA-ROK is an annual cooperation mechanism for the three parties and serves as the unofficial channel for exchanging views on UN and multilateral issues. The meeting is held in rotation among China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. It is originated from two seminars on UN reform held respectively in Beijing in 2006 and in Seoul in 2007.
The First Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-Japan and UNA-ROK was held by UNA-Japan in Tokyo in September 2010.
UNA-China hosted the Second Trilateral Presidents Meeting of UNA-China, UNA-Japan and UNA-ROK in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on September 23 2011. The topics of the meeting were the Role of East Asia in Global Governance and East Asian Culture in the Globalization. It was attended by delegations of UNA-China, UNA-Japan, UNA-ROK and WFUNA. During the meeting, UNA-China also held bilateral talks with UNA-Japan, UNA-ROK and WFUNA respectively.
