on UN and Sustainable Development
On September 24, 2016, Ms. Zhang Dan, Vice President and Deputy-General of UNA-China, attended the Symposium on UN and Sustainable Development in Sichuan International University and made a keynote speech. During her stay, Ms. Zhang met with Mr. Ming Guohui, Secretary of SISI Party Committee and presented awards to the winners of the first National UN Essay Contest.

The Symposium was jointly hosted by the United Nations Association of China and Sichuan International Studies University. More than 20 experts and scholars from, among others, the Development and Research Center of the State Council, the Administrative Center for China¡¯s Agenda 21 and UNDP Resident Representative Office in China attended the Symposium. They exchanged views on topics including the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and China¡¯s implementation of the Agenda. The theme of the first National UN Essay Contest is Commemorating the 45th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Lawful Seat of the People¡¯s Republic of China in the UN.
