The opening ceremony of the Sixth International Civil Servants Capacity Building and Female College Student Leadership Training Programme was held in China Women’s University, Beijing, on July 14^th. This Programme was co-hosted by UNA-China and Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.??

The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Zhang Dan, Vice-President and Director-General of the UNA-China. Ms. Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President of the?All-China Women's Federation, Amb. Lu Shumin, President of the UNA-China, Mr. Ma Hezu, Deputy-Director?of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Ms. Jiang Qin, Counselor of the International Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ?Mr. Chen Lei, Deputy Division Chief of the Personnel Bureau of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Ms. Liu Liqun, President of China Women's University, Mr. Zhang Haibin, Director of the International Organization Research Center of Peking University attended and addressed the ceremony.

The Training Programme will last for 12 days. Diplomats and officials from international organizations and Chinese government will be invited to give lectures on UN and international civil servant issues and Chinese multi-lateral diplomacy. A study tour to the?UN agencies in China and Chinese Defense Ministry's Peacekeeping Center will be arranged. Over 100 trainees from 54 universities have enrolled in this Programme.?
