Vice-President Liu Zhixian Attends the 214th Ordinary Session of the Executive Board Meeting of WFUNA

On May 11-14, 2016, Amb. Liu Zhixian, Vice-President and Director-General of the UNA-China attended the 214th Ordinary Session of the Executive Board Meeting of World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) in New York City.???

The Meeting discussed and adopted the WFUNA Secretary General’s report and reports on finance, membership and sustainable development as well as the 2016-2018 Strategic Plan. It also issued statements on UN peacekeeping operations, European refugee crisis and etc. Vice-President Liu briefed the Meeting on the work and the future plan of the UNA-China and exchanged views with other Board Members on UN studies, MUN programs and the goal of sustainable development.??

Before the Meeting, Vice-President Liu Zhixian met with Mr. Jan Eliasson, Deputy Secretary-General and other UN officials.??
